Hey folks! My record, Down A Goid Road has been doing very well, getting radio airplay from Oregon to Maine, Illinois to Texas, Tennessee to California and all points in between! Also received well in Canada, the U.K. And Australia. I can tell you I am so excited to share the music with whoever likes to listen. The Vineyard shows have been pretty cool Blues, one more to go. Then festival time in the Central Mass Hill Country, next to Arlington, Ma. and then off to Florida to settle in for a month before a jaunt through the Southeast - Macon, Ga., Muscle Shoals, Ala., Memphis, Tn., Clarksdale, Ms. Tupelo, Ms., New Orleans,La., Sopchoppy, Fla. and Tallahassee, Fla. Whew!! See you on the road....
Here we go!
June 17 Road Diary
Packed house at Amazing Things show, Paul and Annie www.paulandannie.com were over the top closing the show with Annie Tap dancing to Rag Mama Rag! I am back South gearing up for the radio promo and the return to New England for shows all summer. I'll be mainland - Solo; with Ottomatic Slim; at Right Turn...Woody get the kit! Sober in the Sun Festival with 3000 of our closest friends! Martha's Vineyard too for several shows, Paul Size joining me for several (or am I joining Paul!) ... plenty chance to catch up and have some fun! Shaka!
My first show as a Mojo Rodeo Record Label and BMI recording artist is happening in your backyard! Flying in from my new digs in Florida, I will be playing one night only at the Amazing Things Art Center in Framingham, Ma. (Hollis St.). Even better, I am opening for Blues superstars Paul Rishell and Annie Raines. My new CD Down A Good Road will be available at the show. Tickets available through either website! Don't miss this show!! Heading back South after this show...Peace!
Howdy folks! I've added a video below to introduce one of the tunes on my new record. Hope you enjoy it and keep checking back for news of the record release!
Rich Brown is a local boy with a bluesy guitar and a guttural voice to match. His 2009 six-track disc, Beach Blues, provides a nice sampling of his slide work. Brown is joined on the record by Woody Giessmann of Boston’s beloved Del Fuegos, and producer Hendrick Gideonse of Boston-based Indecent Music. The disc makes a nice showcase of Brown’s colorful lyrics, growly voice, and pensive guitar. Boston Blues Society Review - 2010
Rich Brown is playing and singing the music he loves. Poke around the site a bit, come to a show, but mostly enjoy the music.
His performances are light and funny, sometime dark and moody but not for long. His music is an escape from the day to day we all walk through. That's what it did for the people who first created and played country and delta blues music! People will hear something a bit different when they listen to his music and there has not been an audience that didn't enjoy what they heard!
See you soon!
